Christ Heist - A One Page Train Heist TTRPG

ALL ABOARD...

It’s 1907 and you’ve been down on your luck. Jobs are drying up, wars are being waged, and the west is growing. As luck would have it, your reputation precedes you: as a storied felon, you and your crew have been forged through indominable industry expertise and pulled together for one last job: Rob the Church.

It was a dangerous journey to Kansas City – but you all know your roles, and you know what you need to do: trick the laity in St. Anthony’s Chapel Car out of their tithes, make off with the Solid Gold Jesus Crucifix, and exit the train in Denver before anyone notices.

This game forced itself into existence through sheer obsession and potential possession of the writer by a ghost that likely haunts Kansas City's Union Station.  It is wholly unplaytested. In the spirit of the games it is based on, CHRIST HEIST is free to download. If you'd like to donate - know those funds go towards writing more heinous games to warn you about... or matcha lattes.

Finally, this game was made as a submission to Tabletop Train Jam hosted by Maggie Mahoney. It's my first departure from Brindlewood Bay supplements and a love letter to two major hyperfocuses in my life: Taking the train whenever I can, and my time in religious orders, organizations, and bodies. Chapel Cars are endlessly fascinating to me - The St. Anthony Chapel Car really existed and operated in Kansas during 1907!
