CARE-INN: A Slugblaster Dimension [PREVIEW]

An endless hallway of blinking lights, plain frames, and doorways.

Doors on the floor.

Doors on the ceiling.

Doors tucked behind panels and windows and floorboards - every available space within the sprawling mega-compound known as CARE-INN is yet another private suite, club room, or health center for those nearing the end of their mortal time in any dimension. Care bots, nearly-corporeal AI visitors, and legitimate ghosts wander, caretaking and giving companionship to those who spend retirement or hospice here. It has everything you need!

For the right price (or as the result of an untethering, a court order, or identity mishap), those who would like to retire in style away from their home dimension can do so. Lush courtyards, state of the art sports arenas, a lively dating scene, and more are interspersed in this maze of hospice care rooms, creating the ultimate geriatric walkable city-dimension.

The Care-Inn Compound is a dimension for play and use with SLUGBLASTER by Mikey Hamm. It was created as a submission to the FAN ZINE in their discord server, and will go live here on itch once that magazine hits the digital shelves! It was inspired by my experiences in nursing homes and end of life care, the Disney Channel Original Movie - Smart House, and capitalistic liminal spaces. It was also influenced by the slugblaster community!
