All's not well at your favorite burger joint...

It is a clear and crisp morning at Jay’s diner: a cluttered, homely, and deteriorating eatery created back when freight trains frequented the outskirts of Brindlewood Bay. At the end of a gravel road, this diner is an amalgamation of retired shipping containers that faithfully served the working class for years. James Clark Sr., an elderly, stout widower sporting a thin ‘combover’, work shirt, and very thick-lensed glasses, is opening the diner for the final weekend of business. James has been growling and grumbling about his son, Jimmy Clark Jr. refusing to take over the aging establishment. Recently, James has been forced to consider making the decision and sell the land to Bayside Realty, or back to the Brindlewood Bay Cooperative Bank.

Before James can choose to sell the land or business, he's found dead out back - while the Mavens are enjoying their final meal there! Can they solve the case before closing time?

This scenario has a complexity of 7, making it a great addition to a campaign of Brindlewood Bay or a longer one-shot. You will need access to the game core rules to use this mystery. It comes in PDF format for online or print and play ability.

This unofficial mystery is not associated with Jason Cordova or Gauntlet Publishing, but it is published with their permission.
